    Suggest a Motherboard for AMD X2 260 @ 3.2 Ghz


    It seems my MB's sound card is failing... it is under warranty... only 4 days old.. so i'm considering replacing my MB.. plz suggest a good motherboard... thanks...

    For a motherboard, how about the one I am using (see my specs) ? It supports your current CPU, and also has Realtek audio, drivers for which are readily available.

    Alternatively, since that board uses DDR2 (and you already have DDR3), take a look at this: http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/prod...px?pid=3756#ov Again, it uses Realtek audio.

    According to the specs, it supports up to 16GB of DDR3.

    I would probably steer away from that one. Although it is likely to be a good board, it is one of the older ones plus it only supports DDR2 whereas you already have some DDR3. So if you went for that, you would need to buy some RAM as well, as the two aren't compatible.

    no... im getting it from a local dealer here... i'm in Kerala, India... my budget is 2500 rupees...
