"Your computer was unable to start" help!

Hi,
Out of nowhere, I recently started getting this message whenever I boot my computer. It takes awhile to process through the system restore and then everything works fine...until I boot it again and it does it all over again. Any clue what could be causing this? Thanks for your help!

It is during boot time, and yes it does eventually reach the desktop and I don't seem to have any problems after that but every time I boot it goes through the same thing

This happened to me and got worse and worse until my 250gb sata HD finaly died on me. My machine got slower and slower while in Windows aswell

It is now just diplaying the startup repair window during boot instead and it keeps trying to repair but never reaches the desktop

What type of hard disk do you have?

I don't know much about the the hardware but this seems to be a hardware problem. Probably the HDD is packing up.

Hopefully soon a knowledgeable forum member would clarify the situation.

Hey, sorry i haven't been on in a while. I'm not really sure how to check my hard drive but I went into the boot set up and it said it was a WDC WD7500BPKT-75PK4T0. I hope thats right. Also, I checked the system repair details and it said that it "Failed to find OS loader". It also failed the "file repair" task and the "Boot configuration data store repair" task. Thanks for your help!

It was actually weird of me to ask.
The reason why I asked, was because I know that Seagate's "SeaTools for DOS" is a great program for testing and repairing, and I thought it was only for SATA HDD's.
I read abit on the internet, and it seems that it actually is usable for all HDD's, so I highly recommend using this.

It's freeware, so it's just to google it, download it, burn it to a CD and boot your computer using this program.
It repaired my last broken HDD to a state where I could extract the most important stuff from it.
