    Snipping tool won't save !

Well my laptop's W7 snipping tool has stopped saving. If someone has experience with the registry and how to point this back I would be most grateful.

HKEY_CURRENT-USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders has to point to 'My Pictures' (or rather, yours), apparently.

have you deleted my pictures, or moved it recently?

If it is a registry error maybe try this.> SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Run it 3-4 times if it finds errors.

Otherwise I'm not sure of what else to try.

    @ MM
I likely did something like that. I'll give that a go.

what a wide post arc, whilst NOT a solution, you mite want to consider another "snipping software "
i always recommend jing , so much more things you can do with it.

does jing live in the system tray?

i don't like screencap software that does this - i just want to start it from a shortcut, just like good old fashioned snipping tool.

    boohbah,
That's perfect. Just installed and it's working great. This will buy me time to get the snip tool worked out later.
