can a bad overclock course this, its just that i ran default bios setting for a couple of months and all was ok, but about a week ago overclocked it again, but this time @ 4.5 thought this might be a little more stable then the 4.8 it was at, just that from when i first posted this problem i have since had a different MB, memory and windows is now on a mSata drive.

Oh yea and now on windows 8

Did you do an in-place Upgrade to Windows 8 or a Clean Install?

Is this the same underlying Win7 install as before? If so I could get a Clean Reinstall
to eliminate software as the cause. Follow the same steps as in the blue link to get a perfect baseline reinstall.

Otherwise remove the overclocking to see if it solves the problem.
