Vacuuming inside the case is very risky since you are at imminent risk of a metal (or even plastic, but especially metal) attachment jumping a spark to the mobo which can fry the electronics. It's always best to use canned air.

We keep our computers running more than ten years here so you may only be through half of its life. Of course that doesn't mean it doesn't go to backup or travel use status as do most of our oldsters.

If you have further problems test the RAM - Test with Memtest86+ and slots as shown in tutorial link. Also look for debris in the slot. Everything can be demonstrated by video just by googling it, likely for your make/model.
