More information would be useful as you haven't given us much.

    SSD or spinner?

    How many partitions?

    Basic or dynamic?

What have you tried so far?

Have a look at this tutorial: Partition or Volume - Delete

Post a screen shot of your Disk Management and state which particular partition you are trying to delete.

I agree - you're not really telling us much e.g. you said you didn't have much luck with Diskpart, which is surprising so we do need to see your fully expanded disk management layout, so that we can advise you further.

Sounds like you have some system file on that partition - e.g. the bootmgr. A screenshot of Disk Management would clarify.

I suggest not to force it. You may make your system inoperable.

I suggest using EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition. This is better, faster and works better than the default:

EaseUS Partition Master Home Edition - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

Just install it, open it, right click the Partition and delete it.

Your Data Partition has your System inside it. That's the problem, somehow move the Data Partition to your main Drive (I don't know how) or reinstall.

It is exactly as I suspected. Your bootmgr is sitting on partition G and gets automatically imaged with the system. Run these 4 steps and move the bootmgr to C.

Then I agree with Infinite. Windows imaging is really a bad choice. Use what he suggests or free Macrium. Here is a tutorial how to use it: Imaging with free Macrium
