    Windows startup screen changes?

For some reason when I started up my PC today, I noticed that the startup screen was entirely different. Instead of the usual blue pattern, it's a gray background. I know it's not a problem, but I was just curious about it. I'm just so used to seeing the older background. Is there any way to change it back, without messing with the registry?

Hello PvtPlatypus, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if running a sfc /scannow command may be able to help if it's a corrupted system file causing this.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

If you are talking about the Windows logon screen after the initial windows splash screen, you can follow the below link and customize it with simple registry edit.

Change and customize Windows 7's Logon screen wallpaper

Yeah it's just a new background for the welcome screen. It just surprised me because I've never seen it before. Thanks for the help.
