First thing I do is turn off transparency and transition effects.
I'm kinda the same way. I turned that stuff off on my work laptop to help preserve battery life and I figure that the less graphical stuff that I have going on..the less my box has to work to generate it. It looks pretty...but really isn't very functional.

Ms is not stupid. They have this as eye candy for the masses. It's better than the old UI. Looks good. The interactive preview and glass are very nice. I like it.

Am i "tired of it?" No.

It's too bad Windows 7 in general is getting old already before it even comes out though.

It's a good thing we have all of the tutorials we can try out to make things more interesting.

To be fair, on the scale of really jump out and notice changes....7 doesn't have that many over Vista.

That's true. That said, I LOVE the interactive previews when hovering over the "superbar" The fact you can change the order and close windows from the preview is a big (and great) change. I love that.

Am I the only one that's kind of annoyed by the Aero GUI as of now? The transparency/blurring is really unnecessary. I think Windows should've gone with a Matte Shiny Plastic visual style, akin to Mac OS X.
If you don't like it get a MAC.
