Your burn the iso image to a CD or DVD. You can use ImgBurn to accomplish this. Then boot your computer off your optical drive.
nvm ill unmount the cd and download the thumb drive one.
Are you downloading, scanning, etc, with the computer that has the problems? Usually when a computer has been infected, it's best to download files from a clean computer.
Gotta download the repair files from AVG lemur posted the link in page 1. I don't have a clean PC to get the files from so i have to do it this way.
And while no one has replied to this yet. How would i boot my computer off my usb?
Disk E is now bootable with the data recovery or whatever. How do i boot it?
OK i could only move files from the zip to my key and then i ran the setup for the rescue cd usb and then i tried to boot my system from the key and i tried. it started to work and then stopped i think its cause i didnt follow the install that the vid did but i cant do it the way the vid did cause i cant put files anywhere and i dont have access to any folders.
Because of that im not sure if i can do it any time soon unless i wasnt doing something right.
Well it told me the booting process could not continue and closed.
So if there is no other way to fix my folders and files then i wont be able to do this until i can get to school and use there computer to make a bootable disk properly.
OK so i used my step dads pc to install the boot install to my key i then went to my pc and tried to boot the PC using my flash drive, i then went and ran it but then it said "unable to continue" and closed. I didn't even get to the agreement page from AVG and my folders and files are still inaccessible so there has to be another way to fix my folders/files.
