    Winload.exe 0xc0000001

Hello. I am running on Windows 7 64bit home premium. My computer has been really weird lately. I have tried recovering my computer to an earlier time but it constantly failed. Explorer.exe will fail on me, and I have tried the src thing using run but it will open and immediately close on me. I didn't have a recovery disk so I just recently bought one. I "think" I made the recovery disk correctly. When I put the cd in, I got an error that the file winload.exe with the error code 0xc0000001 saying the file may be missing or may be corrupt. I am not very experienced with computers so i hope you guys can help me the best way you can. Thank you so much for reading.

Edit : the problem is not solved. Accidentally clicked "problem solved".

Post more information about your computer and what you've been doing. When was the last time you scanned for viruses and trojans? What software have you installed/removed? When did this start, and what were you doing when it started?

In order to help, you need to post everything that's been going on.

Sorry, like I have said in my post I am not very computer smart. What information do you need exactly? And my friend came over to my house and downloaded a game. I was guessing It was safe since I saw tons of other people playing it too and he hasn't faced any problems like I have now when he downloaded. But the game ran a bit slow which is unexpected since any game I run doesn't lag at all. My motherboard began to make a weird noise a few minutes after the game was downloaded. And I did a scan immediately after the weird occurrence running it in safe mode.
Avast 5, superantispyware did not detect anything. I even ran superantispyware in high alert mode.

What game was downloaded, and where was it downloaded from? What noises did you hear?

I just looked at my histories and it was from nexon.net. Isn't nexon a multimillion dollar gaming company? It was not making any clicking sounds but as if an air conditioner was running high.

    Sorry you are having problems.

    Please complete system specs:

That sound you hear might be your fan running at full speed.

Are you able to boot into safe mode?

I can't even properly use the control panel either. It won't let me see my computer specs. And yes, I can run on safe mode. I don't see how I can get a virus from downloading a game from a million dollar gaming company.

Edit : I was only able to scan with superantispyware. Avast won't do anything. It gives me the fix option because it's security is down but won't do anything not even a scan. I also use malwarebytes but when I was updating it, it asked for a restart which I did and the database was reversed. It didn't upgrade the version but downgrade which I found very strange.

Let's take it one step at a time. First boot to safe mode with command prompt. Run "sfc /scannow" without the quotes. Tell us what happens.

Then boot to safe mode with networking. If you can download and run CPU-ID, it will provide hardware specs you can relay to us. If not, just describe as best you can.

    http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/pc-wizard.html

We can go from there ...

I did the sfc / scannow in safe mode. The words are cut off and can't extend it. And I downloaded CPU-Z and got an error from it. CPU-Z did open, but it's empty. I'll post what the scannow says.

Edit : I'm sorry. I did not see the link and I just googled it. I downloaded the wrong one. But now the sfc / scannow would close instantly.

Edit 2 : pc wizard won't even open. CPU-Z opened up with an error but pc wizard just gave me an error and didn't open. The error says "error intialising peripherical driver. Err : 1084

Edit 3 : it seems like PC wizard does not run during safe mode. Here are my computer's specs

    Main board : Dell 04GJJT
    Memory : 4gb
Video Card : ATI Radeon HD 4200
    Processor : AMD Athlon II X2 240
