I can't save to the root of C drive and J drive

Ok so i have 3 partitions C,D,J and for some reason when i tried to save to J it tells me tha i
dont have permision to save there and to contact the administrator but i am the administrator
and it tells me the same thing when i tried to save on the root of C drive too.
But the funny thing is tha i can copy and paste to both J drive and C drive i just can't save there. But i can paste and save to D drive.

Where are you trying to save it to?

You probably need to Take Ownership of the location your saving it to.

    Unlocker may also help.

Additionally you may want to try an SFC Scan

Taking ownership of the C drive is not recommended.

I don't mean the whole C Drive, I mean the location to where he is trying to save it to, unless he is actually trying to save it to C itself.

    Hi YeaBuddy.
So far that I know, C root is protected by the system. It is actually good to keep the root is clean and clear from unnecessary files being dumped to it. But, you can actually save your work to C root by running the program as a real administrator (right click the program, and choose run as administrator and you are prompted as usual). But you have to take a note that your files will be saved as read only files. It means if next time you open the files you will see it opened as [read only], unless you open it by the same way (as administrator, and again you are prompted to open it as read only, or not).
But, if you really need to have some file saved to drive C, then create a folder in it.

I have no further explanation why it happened to your other drive.

I am not sure how I did it but I have managed to save a file (.bat) to root on C: - I run as administrator all the time I might add.

Can you show us a screenshot of your drives' status from drive management.

[right click Computer] -> [manage] -> [storage] - [disk management]
