Restart and auto login to fix bizarre problem.

    Hello,

I'm stuck in a bit of an odd pickle I wonder if anyone knows a solution.

I'm currently remotely logged onto my main computer (via log me in) which is in a different city. I need to get something done on it (render an animation) before I return home. Unfortunately it keeps crashing so I have had to increase the virtual memory. More unfortunately still however is that I have to restart the remote machine.

At that point of course, I'm going to be logged out. So is there any way I can get logged back in when I restart the machine?

Can I get windows to restart without having to log back in or require a password so that I can log in remotely again?

I don't see why not. You can do this to enable auto logon:

Thanks Kegobeer. Just one thing, the link you posted seems to give instructions so to log in without a password, but does that mean that windows 7 will log in my user account. I obviously have a user and administrator account. Does this method do away with needing to ctrl alt delete to choose which user to log in?

Sorry to be over cautious, but I only have one shot at this...
