Multiple instances of Explorer -- how?

    Hi All,

Did a search here but can't find anything related to this. I have Windows Explorer pinned to the taskbar.

How can I launch multiple instances so that I can drag files from one drive to another?

If I click on it in the taskbar, it just shows or hides the current view, but I need a second copy running.

    Thanks

OK, just figured it out. I right click and there is a menu item for "Windows Explorer" which launches another copy.

I knew it had to be simple. :)

You can also middle click to open a new instance of the item.

In an existing window right click a file or folder and select open in a new window. You also can set folder options to open a selected folder in a new window.

You can also hit the "shift" + click combo on the icon in question. It will open another instance of Explorer , Browser, whatever ....
