    search bug?


    hi , when i type anything in start menu , explorer , or anywhere else i just get nothing , and when i click on "see more results" , a dialog bux appears and say :
    Code:
    Windows Cannot Find 'search:query=anything'. make sure you typed name correctly,and then try again
    please help me

    my se7en release is ULTIMATE x32(86) 7000

    and i just dont want to reinstall it

    Hi AR4SH,

    You can try turning off Windows Search then re-activating it.

    Go to Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows features on or off, then de-select Windows Search. This will remove the Search function, you can then re-select and see if that helps, normally it resets & fixes issues.

    You may need to restart after removing Windows Search, same again after re-selecting it

    Yes, I believe it has.

    My suggestion for the thread author is to just reinstall but instead of 7000, get the Windows 7 RC copy before they stop allowing downloads for it, on the 20th. :)
