How to show my hidden folder again after I hide it?

    hi ,

I am facing a strange problem in my windows 7 PC now. Yesterday I made one folder hidden in my F:/ drive. Today I want to un-hide it. I went to "Folder and Search Options" >> View Tab and then "Show hidden files and folders". Then I applied and OK the changes. Still I don't see my hidden file. The F:/ drive shows that I have 7GB of data in it. But it shows a folder of 98MB only.

Please help. I am stuck up here.

Try opening Windows Explorer as an administraitor, or use another file explorer such as WinRAR, which is unaffected by Windows Explorer settings such as hidden files. If you still do not see any files, then prehaps your memory device has been corrupted and you have multiple 'bad sectors' on your device (assuming its flash-memory based)

    Hello Surjya,

Using step 4 in OPTION ONE of the tutorial below, see if also unchecking the Hide protected operating system files box in Folder Options will allow you to see the hidden folder as grayed out afterwards.
In addition, I find that adding and using the context menu items in the tutorials below helps to make this a lot easier if you like to hide and unhide items often.
    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
