desktop stops responding after login

    desktop stops responding after login


    ok im haveing a bit of a problem today last night i went and restarted my pc because it was being slow and that happens every onece so often and when i tryed to get things going again (login) and it worked for a few moments then the intire desktop stoped responding and turned a floressent white and it has been persisting ever sence ive had this happen before but i had nuked my pc and started over again all i want to know is how i can fix this with out doing it again

    Are you using a video card or the motherboard for graphics ?

    well i took a graphics card out of an old gameing pc my brother had i beleve its a geforce 7600 gt evea

    Sounds like a possible monitor fail. Do you have another PC or monitor to test with?

    OK, next step.

    1. Uninstall video drivers and any video software.
    2. Reboot and let windows reinstall video drivers.
    3. Post back your results.
