Errors whenever dialog box for open/save

Whenever (about 50% of the time) I use a program that'll eventually pop up a SAVE/OPEN dialog box (file explorer?). This could be ADOBE, or IE8 when I want to save a picture, or anything that'll prompt me to open a file or save a file, whenever the file explorer comes up it'll start to lag, then hang and then not respond and I have to close and restart.
Is it a windows explorer or file explorer problem? It happens on several of the computers/laptops I have the RC installed on.

RE: Errors whenever dialog box for open/save

I get the same error. Seems like save works fine with an existing file, but save as crashes.

I've left it non responsive for an hour or more.

    Hi,

I have the same problem: When I want to save a file in any application and it opens a "save as" dialog Windows seems to hang for some seconds. During this time I can't do anything. It doesn't matter whether I choose to save or to abort - whenever the "save as" dialog comes up Win7 hangs. But this happens only sometimes, not always.

    Any suggestions?

No ideas? Is there anyone else with this problem? Can we perhaps isolate when it happens? For me it seems to be application independent. I also experience the problem that sometimes in the windows explorer generating a new folder seems to freeze the explorer. The new folder just doesn't show up for some seconds. Renaming it also takes seconds to be applied. Maybe this is caused by the same problem?

What is involved in the open/save dialog? Does anyone know which Windows processes are involved? What else?
