    PC to HDTV Hook-Up Stalled

I am an older dog who is bound and determined to learn new tricks. I am trying to hook up my pc to tv so I can subscribe to MLB> (major league baseball) online and watch any game I want on my tv. I went to the computer store armed with a picture of the backs of pc and tv. Pretty straight forward connection with monitor and audio cables. Attached to this post is pic of tv menu, where top shows pc/pip, which I enter, and bottom you'll see tv showing my desktop, (sans shortcuts), with a blank pip in the lower right corner. This is where I have stalled in my quest. What might be my next step? Thank you all for your help. Cheers, Rusty.

Not sure I understand this correctly, but...

Can you open a browser, go to the MLB Website, and watch the games in the browser window displayed on the TV?

I don't have "MLB", but i can watch Hulu (and others) in a browser window on my TV.

As far as the PIP window, I think your TV manual would explain how to use and control that. I expect it would require using a second input...

Thank you for your reply. No, so far the only image on my tv is just a still shot of my desktop, which doesn't change as i surf the web. However, when my computer goes into screensaver mode, so does the tv.

Ok, so you are just seeing a "blank" desktop on the TV, and your "normal" desktop on the PC monitor ?

If that's the case, I think you need to check how you have Multiple Monitors configured.

Right click on a blank area on the desktop and click "Screen Resolution".

If you are configured with "Extend", you probably can just drag a window from the PC Monitor over to the TV.

I normally use "Duplicate", so I see all my windows on both displays.

Excellant David! That worked. The only thing is the low volume that I am having problems with, but I'll get that figured out thru trial and error. Thank you kindly. Rusty
