    full control for administrators


    How do i change the permissions for the administrator account to FULL control so that I do not get the "access is denied" message when trying to perform certain functions?; also

    Hello Matt,

    You could enable the built-in Administrator account, and log on to it to have full control with if you like.

    Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable

    Yea; I was just reading some info on enabling it; but is there a way to enable my own administrator account that was created when installing windows 7 to have the same access as the administrator account that came w windows 7 but was disabled>

    Matt,

    You could use the tutorial below to elevate the privilege level of the "administrators" group to help give administrators more access, but it's still not going to have the same full access level that the built-in Administrator account has.
