Is there a program or file etc u can install that will make windows 7 display the logon date/time when u press ctrl + alt + delete just like windows xp professional did? I would like to somehow get this accomplished if possible because I feel it is good to know when u logged on.

You could do this with a script.
Download the file UpTime.vbs,
and place it somewhere on your PC.
Then create a shortcut from the script, and set a HotKey to your likings.
Then place the shortcut in your Start Menu folder.
If you press the HotKey the script will run.
That should do it.

I could write a program that does everything for you,
the only thing you need to specify is the HotKey you want to use.
However, you can set this HotKey yourself.
I am waiting on a response from you ... don't forget that I am very busy at the moment,
and that writing this software, perhaps, may take a while.
(Don't worry, it will not last very long, only a few days, at the most.)
But I will gladly do it for you, that's why we are on this Forum, to help each other, right.

well where it the best place to put the script; and how can i get to automatically show the logon date time when u press ctrl + alt + delete like windows xp pro use to do for me. Please specify if possible the best folder and subfolder location. Thanks Matt

First of all, you can't use ctrl+alt+delete,
because this is used in Windows to open a screen with options like start Task Manager, Change password ..etc..
I would use ctrl+alt+b or something like that.
To create a folder in the Start Menu, proceed as follows.
1)Click the Start Menu, and then Control Panel.
In Control Panel click Folder Options and open the View tab.
Scroll down until you see the option Hidden files and folders.
Mark the radio button Show hidden files, folders and drives and then click Apply and OK.
2)Click the Start Menu, and then click your User name.
Click the folder AppData -> Roaming -> Microsoft -> Windows -> Start Menu -> Programs.
Rightclick in the folder Programs, point to New and click Folder, to create a new folder.
Give the folder a name of your choice.
For example Boot Time Script.
Now open the folder, and place the script UpTime.vbs in the folder.
Rightclick the script and click Create shortcut.
Now rightclick the shortcut and click Properties.
Under the tab Shortcut, click in the textbox after Shortcut key.
Now press ctrl+alt+b or a key of your choice.
Click Apply and OK.
Other posibilities are:
ctrl+shift+?
shift+alt+?
ctrl+shift+alt+?
(Replace the question mark with a key of your choice)
Voila, that should do it.
Now every time you hit the chosen HotKey the script will run.
If you would like to see something changed on the script,
just ask and I'll see what I can do.
(For example: the script could close automatically after a set period)
