    unable to resize partitions correctly.

Hi i am trying to take some un-allocated spots in my partition to increase my main partition. However, I am trying to do so and cannot, The program i use (Easeus partition manager won't allow me to extend one of my partition to include allocated space, also according to Easeus the partition is allocated but according to disk manager in computer management in administrative tools, its an extended partition that won't let me delete it and says "There isn't enough space available on the disks to complete this operation."
    How should I proceed?
    Thanks in advance

If you post a screenshot of disk management window, and easeus main screen - we may be able to advise.

Yes, that is how easeus normally reports free space.

Those 5.91gb volumes are unusual - were they put there by the oem?

If you want to incorporate that space into your main windows partition - you need to get it adjacent.

To do that - you need to move the first 5.91gb to the right of the unallocated space.

If that is an oem partition - you may not be able to use whatever oem tools are on there after you have moved it.

I think they might be so i wasn't going to touch them but how can i move the 5.91 gb to the right of the unallocated space, like when i try to use easeus to drag it over it will not let me.

Very strange, EasyUS reports three primaries and two logical 5.9GB partitions. But in Disk Management they are all primaries. Something is wrong because one cannot have 5 primaries in NTFS.

For your problem: Why don't you backup what's on the 5.9GB partition to the right of C. Then delete that. Extend C by as much as you like. Make a new partition from the rest of the unallocated space for the data you saved.

I would use the latest version of free Partition Wizard bootable CD which views Logical free space and Primary Unallocated space as the same for resizing purposes.

Boot PW CD, Rightclick on the three smaller partitions to Explore to see if anything is on them or they are empty as they report. If you don't use factory OEM tools or have made your Recovery Disks and know you don't want that partition then you can delete them.

Otherwise rightclick on the first 5.91 gb partition, select Resize, grab it with the mouse by left clicking and drag it to the right end of the free space, click OK.

Next rightclick C, select Resize, slide the right border to the right to take up the remaining adjacent Free Space, click OK. Apply both steps.

You might be able to get Easeus to do these operations by first deleting the Free Space volume in Disk Management so it reverts to Unallocated Space. However be aware that Easeus and all other managers can fail, as can Partition Wizard Home edition. Only Partition Wizard bootable CD has never failed in hundreds of partitioning operations we have helped with here.

Might be because of those odd partition types - rt click the 5.91gb in easeus and see what the partition ID is.

If at all possible, I prefer to use Disk Management - it is the safest way. Although I like and use PW, I have already lost whole partitions twice. No problem because I always have images, but some people start manipulating partitions with PW without an image - like some people muck around with the registry without at least an Erunt backup.
