out of memory and a commit memory use of 30000000

    hello,
I have since a few days a problem with my cinema 4D r13.
When I'm working the memory the program use wouldn't come free again.
My commited memory raise to values of 30.000.000 .
I think on a mamory leak but I don't know if this is possible .
Does anyone have the same problem ? Does anyone have a solution for my problem ?

I have 8Gb ram and when the problem occures I was just working on an interior of a house without any texturing.
No havy renders . Just the modeling itself. I have my graduation work in a mounth so I have a big problem if I don't get it running again.

When I'm running my diagsostics there are no faults or errors . I get only the message " Not enough memory" when I use cinema 4D ( after +- 2 hours )

I hope someone can help me .
    Thanks in advanced !

Hi dekennes and welcome to W7 Forums

I've found this (it pertains to version 12): Memory Leak Problem - Plugin Cafe Forums

You might like to post a query there and see what replies you get. If you do, please let us know how you get on.

Also, programs like that tend to want to use as much memory as possible. See if there is a setting to limit its memory use (ala photoshop). Then you can limit it to 6 gigs or so.

Have you tried the Cinema 4D support forums? This may be very specific to the program/revision... They would have the most likely source for solutions and work arounds.

If the problem is only with this program, I'd certainly contact their support/forum directly as they're much more likely to have the answer to this than us.

Then, this would make one known issue. Do they not offer any troubleshooting steps to help figure it out?

Out of curiosity, when you close the program does the memory come back? Or does a lot or most of it stay used?
