Stuck at bootscreen after resetting BIOS
Hello fellow geeks,
Ive have come across a very peculiar dilemma. One day after a system update, all my USB input devices stopped working leaving me stuck at the Win 7 login screen. After some basic troubleshooting I decided to reset BIOS with system defaults. No help there. So instead i decided to do a hardware reset of the bios by flipping the switch/jumper on the motherboard. Still none of the USB ports are working. When I boot the computer it is doing an initial RAM check saying that the configuration has changed and politely asks me to press F1 to save settings or press F10 to setup BIOS. BUT, since my keyboard is not working I cannot proceed.
Bought a USB --> PS/2 converter to see if my keyboard would respond on that port... the answer is noooo.
So, would be ever grateful if someone has got a solution for this. Or at least someone can point me in the right direction. Otherwise I might just throw it all out the window. Pretty fed up with this atm.
Thanks in advance!
