I am running Windows 7. I have lost an icon on my taskbar. Doesn't seem to impact my computer operations. Therefore, I don't care. BUT, everytime I use my printer, I get a two-line printed message telling me I am missing an icon. How can I stop the message from printing?
I don't know and I don't care. I just want the printing of the notification to cease.
If you don't want to provide requested information, that's okay. Makes it tough to be of any help though.

What's the matter with you??? I have told you all I have no idea what icon is missing...I don't really care. What I need help with is to stop the missing icon notification from printing on my laser jet every time I print anything. You would think the icon that's missing is the laserjet printer but that has never been a problem before. That icon for the printer is only there after printing. The icon message is that there are no documents pending. Then it goes away. Sounds normal to me.
So please, instead of discussing the icon, please gear the discussion toward stopping the printer from printing the notification out on the printer. Every time it prints, I lse a page of paper.

Huge rise in paper wastage until icon is tracked down.
try rebuilding the icon cache - see if that helps.

If all else fails uninstall any printer drivers and software and reinstall.
