That smells like someone put a prank into the system. Is that possible.

I second what AddRAM suggested, take a look at your printer software.

I refuse to believe the print does only tell that on icon is missing. Two lines, as you tell us, only for that? What is the exact message you get? You need to help us a bit to be able to help you.

    Thanks.

I don't see where it states there's a missing icon in that print off? It's a HTTP GET request for an XML file.

Try going to your printer properties, go to "device settings" then on the "installable options" set the "printer status notification" to disabled.

What? I find your style quite arrogant. "I have a problem, I do not want to give any more information, now solve it and fast!".

Was wondering the same. Not a single word about missing icon.

The OP does not seem to understand that we are volunteers that are trying to help wherever possible. But if they get arrogant, we should just drop dead.

I would recommend to uninstall/ reinstall the drivers. Hope it fix the problem you faced.

    Good results

I followed the directions about un-enabling the printer notification in my laserjet. IT WORKED. The printer no longer spits out a two line notice, thereby saving many trees. Thanks.
