What program are you using when you open a new window?

I use Firefox and just tried Rt click / Open new window.
It opened a new window in the "Last saved position" for FF.

I normally open links by clicking the scroll wheel so they open in a new tab (for me).

Usually when you move it up once, it comes back into that new position the next time. Is that not happening.

You may maximize the chrome window when using it.

If you maximize the main window and then open a link in a new window, what happens ?

Do all programs work this way for you, or just Chrome?

Can you try using IE and see if that remembers the last position?

Afetr you open a new window, hold down CTRL and positon the window in place, release CTRL first. If that doesn't work try using the SHIFT key instead.
