client machine using wrong network ID using ODBC ???
HI all,
First post, i've been searching but wording this in a way similar to someone else has beaten me thus far.....
I have a windows7 client that was initially called wrt2012 on our domain, i renamed the machine to wr5 when i was happy it was working ok (it was my guniea pig machine !) but now when i try to establish an ODBC connection to an SQL server i get the following error:
Can someone explain where this is broadcasting the machine name WRT2012, i.e the old client name from so i can delete it ?Connection failed:[HY000][MSQL][ODBC 3.51 DRIVER] Host 'WRT2012.<domain name removed.com>' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblockwith 'mysqladmin flush hosts'
*not sure if this post should be in networking or whatever so plumped for general ??
