How to get screensaver to kick in...now a grey blank screen

I don't think I did anything to cause this, but after x amount of time of inactivity on my PC, the screen goes blank...even though I went in and set up my screen saver. Any ideas? (It also shows my user name and say something about locked, but I don't have to enter any password to get going...HELP !!)

Welcome to the Seven Forums with your first post.

You have already tried Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization and clicked on the Screensaver Icon at the right towards the bottom.

I have no idea which Screensaver you want to run. However please redo the procedure in the para above and choose a different Screensaver from the Drop Down List, select the Wait Time that you want and if you think necessary configure the Settings.

Once done, have a look at the Saver by clicking the preview Button. Do you see the Saver or is it the earlier Blank Screen story?
