web.config redir301 and default page configurations

    Hello, folks.
I need to config the webserver on my hosting provider.

How to config the web.config (IIS 7)
    A) to redir www.olddomain.com to www.newdomain.com (redir 301)
    B) make www.olddomain.com/index.php the default page (because it contains PHP code to redir to www.newdomain.com/index.html)
    C) make www.newdomain.com/index.html the default page
    D) any error 404 redir to www.newdomain.com/index.html

    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

You need to have the URL rewrite module installed in IIS, the following article explains how to do most of it - Using the URL Rewrite Module : URL Rewrite Module : Installing and Configuring IIS 7 : The Official Microsoft IIS Site

I dont normally send people to other sites but you will get more specialist help at the IIS forums - URL Rewrite Module : The Official Microsoft IIS Site

My hosting provider says that the URL rewrite module is installed in IIS, but I do'nt know how to config it. I've seen many replies to threads in this forum giving the exact code to web.config and I would like it too, if possible.
