I really don't understand what network is all about even though there are tutorials on it. I clicked on network today and found that I have music, pictures etc. in it. Can I use these items for projects I am working on?

I have 2 computers at home, a desktop and a laptop. Both are running Windows 7 Home Premium.
The Desktop is connected to a wireless router by a cable. The Laptop connects to the same router via wireless. Both have Internet access via the router.

Computer "Home" (XP Pro), can access
Computer "Acer-2" (this machine - Win 7)
Computer "Work" (XP Pro) this gets the following message when I try to access:-
