ram help

i got a hp pavillion dv6 6121tx i got 4gb ram i am planning to up grade it well i would like to know how much can i upgrade it and what is the ram model for this laptop

Depends Windows 7 Ultimate has a memory limit (192 gb) just nice to know now whether you can upgrade your memory and howto you can see with a program like cpu-z if you have any free slots also remember software like this is just a "helper" do your research to be sure you get the correct ram modules for your system

You could also go to one of the memory sellers websites like Crucial, Kingston, G.Skill, PNY, etc and look for their memory advisor tool. Input your computer specs and they'll tell you exactly what kind of memory your machine takes, the maximum it will support, etc and with that information you can shop around for the best price.
