    Acer PQSERVICE Partiton not booting.

I found a guide on the internet explaining that by installing a linux distro i can restore my Acer Aspire (windows 7 home premium) back to default. I did it before about 4 months ago this same way and it worked fine. But now it says that the BOOT/BCD is invalid.
The only option i saw left was to download the official home premium x64 iso off the internet but my question is can I use my oem product key sticker to activate it?

I'm downloading it right now just in case it becomes a viable option...

Have you tried pressing <Alt+F10> at boot up, to goto the Acer eRecovery Management.

       Information
We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

I resolved the main problem and I got Windows 7 activated just now with your guys help. Now I am trying to get all of the drivers installed which is taking some time, but if I run into any driver problems since I am doing this manually can i use this thread to ask questions or should I go into a forum more about drivers and ask there?
Reason I ask is because I am struggling locating a driver I think... I am going to see if Windows update finds the driver first.

What drivers are missing after installing and running several rounds of optional Windows updates?

The Win7 installer has most drivers, then Updates delivers newer. Only import those missing afterwards in Device Manager.

This is stated clearly in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Follow the steps in order to get a perfect clean reinstall.

Make the backup after programs are installed so everything is included.
