Can not create a Simple Volume, or Delete the Partition

I was formatting my 30 Gig partition on my 1TB hard drive. I deleted the partition and was going to split it further, but when i deleted it it stored as free space rather then Unallocated. now whenever I try to create a simple colume or delete the partition it gives the error message "There is not enough space available on these disk(s) to complete this operation. this partition has never given me a problem like this before.

Oh, I managed to fix the problem with a third party partitioning program.
