    blurry fonts all the sudden

    Hello all,

Everything has been fine on my computer and today i open my laptop and all of my fonts are hard to read. Like the front weight is less and smaller.

Nothing updated, it affect my firefox toolbar, bookmarks and windows programs like google sketchup.

Attached is a screen shot. if you zoom in a little you can see the font is pixelated and choppy. As a work around i have adjusted what i could through the control panel to enlarge and embolden the fonts i could.

any guess as to why overnight something like this could change?

    Thanks,
    Chris

It's just the fonts, not the graphics?

Try changing the settings for cleartype, see if that clears them up a little bit. Also check to see if there was a graphics card update that was done on a schedule that you didn't see, Nvidia cards use that GE force experience and I've had that install updates automatically that bricked my display.

yes,, it is the fonts, it seems not to affect the graphics that i can tell.
If I toggle clear type on and off it affects the script in this forum but not the bookmark or toolbar in firefox.
