Solved explorer , open exe without icon , is it normal?

Hi

i did notice that when i click on open an executable the open icon is empty

i guess it's odd

my windows 7 is original

i added a screenshot and a red arrow

Actually, I think it is normal. In the sense that that's the way it works out-of-the-box on a new, clean machine. I think that the tutorial linked to above describes how to apply something more akin to a "patch" to get it to work like one might expect.
