Problems with getting Scheduler to run

I set up 3 tasks to run a backup program. I did a test for a time while I was there so like 9:00 a.m. and the user is logged in at the time. It worked fine. However, we want this to run at night. But it never the task never runs at night. We are setting it for 6:30 pm, not that, that should matter. I don't have Run on only when user is logged on. We just replace a Windows XP machine and was able to log out and the task ran fine. I didn't use the wizard and have been checking it out now so I will make some changes to run whether users are logged in or not. Highest privileges etc. What should I be watching for?

Hi computerlady143 and welcome to Seven Forums.

To make sure I understand this, you want to run a scheduled task while no one is logged on to the PC.
The PC is running and just sitting at the Logon window when the task runs.
I've never set up a task/PC to run that way...

Some other things you might consider trying:
In Task Scheduler Actions click "Enable All Tasks History".
If the task does run there should be some log/error info in the history.

Instead of logging off, just lock the PC and see if the task runs.

Depending what backup program you use, maybe it has a scheduling feature you could try.

Not sure if you're coming back to this thread, but i did some testing.

I tested running a scheduled task for an MBAM Scan with:
highest privileges, logged off, run using MY ADMIN account, history enabled.
    This task worked for me.
