Ah, that's a bigger problem than having hidden fonts. M$ forced users to switch to 10 through their updates. Make a new thread for yourself, here on 7. Other people wiser than me can help you revert back.
I know this thread is ancient but I came across it after I reinstalled Win 7 on my PC and was unable to get MS Paint, Word or Photoshop to load all the fonts. I have over 700 fonts in the fonts folder but after reinstalling Windows these programs would only load about 2 dozen.
I saw posts saying go to the fonts folder, click "File" and install the fonts that way. Problem is my window didn't give the Install option from the File menu.
What I did was:
1.) Copy and paste the fonts from my old fonts window (or wherever your fonts are) into the new Windows Font folder.
2.) Make sure all the news fonts are selected and then right click on them.
3.) Select "Install" from the right-click menu.
After this all the fonts were loaded into all my programs. Perhaps this will help someone googling this problem.
