SFC Shows Corrupt Files

I've installed Windows 7 64-bit on several different machines so far. And I've found each fresh installation shows no corrupt files. After I finish installing drivers, Office 2007 and Windows update, it never fails I run SFC again and it shows corrupt system files.

The corrupt files being reported always seem to be different. Any idea if this is something that I should be concerned about?

Yes, corrupt system files, do and will cause MAJOR PROBLEMS.

Since you say you only added one program... Office 2007. then updated.
I have to assume your copy of Office 2007 is CORRUPT.

Could be drivers. However if it were say my nVidia driver I would think the corresponding windows video driver would be the corrupted file? Not something obscure and you would think it would be the same file every time?

I don't think it's office, I've had some machines with Office and some without, and found corrupt files on both after updating drivers and performing windows updates.

Seems to me that the drivers are just as likely to cause this problem, they are probably overwriting something they aren't supposed to be overwriting.

One way to find out is to uninstall the drivers and office then install one at a time checking with sfc/scannow to find out which one is causing the problem.

Good catch TGSoldier. I did miss the Drivers...huuuum wonder what drivers he had to install. ??????? very good question. Since over 95% of all computer related problems relate to Drivers.

I'm installing the nForce Driver for my nVidia chipset. Otherwise the generic Windows driver gets loaded. I do the same thing for other components in my computer including Creative drivers & anything else I see that may be out of place.
