Mouse keys start automatically on startup

This issue is bugging me for some time.
Does anyone know how to stop mouse keys from starting on their own on startup?
This happens since I first used them on this pc.
I did try turning them off before logging off,but it didn't work.
It's not something serious, but the icon confuses me.
    Thanks in advance.

Presumably you have been to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Ease of Access Center\Make the keyboard easier to use and tried turning off the mouse keys there but without success.

Does that mean after you have turned off the mouse keys by unchecking the Check Box, it gets checked again?

PS: Open the Registry Editor and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\MouseKeys. What is the Value Data for Flags? For me it is 38 with Mouse Keys Off and 39 with Mouse Keys On.

No wan,I just hit shift alt numlock, but I will try to use the control panel.
If that doesn't work,i'll try out the hkey...
Edit:the control panel did indeed make it opening itself on startup.
    Thank you very much. +rep.
