Desktop is missing

    Desktop is missing


    Everything on my desktop is missing. I have a taskbar at the bottom and I can see the wallpaper. But that's it. I can't right click on the desktop to make sure the show desktop icons is selected. nothing happens when i right click. the stuff that was on my desktop is not deleted or anything because if i go to computer and click on desktop, i can see them there. but how do i make all the icons and shortcurts and all show up again on the desktop?

    Make sure the context menu isn't disabled.

    it still is the same after rebooting. the context menu thing didn't work either.

Realized three or four desktop icons are just gone. I have looked at the desktop/view & "show icons" is checked. I have looked at C;/Users/..../desktop & they are not there. No big deal as I can recreate them as needed but why? thanks, fmg

Desktop Icons Missing

When I save a file to the desktop it doesn't show up. I open windows explorer and it is indeed there, but the icon does not show when I go to the desktop. Only after I re-boot will it show. Can anyone help? Thanks.
