Pin to taskbar with app consisting of two processes

We have an application (a launcher which we can modify) that starts a Java process with CreateProcess().
If the launcher gets started through a shortcut than it is possible to pin the started java process to the taskbar so that all the information (parameters,..) from the shortcut are retained.
However, if the launcher is started directly than pinning the java process pins the java process to the taskbar (without any parameters) and not as expected the launcher.
    Any ideas?

Pinning the application will pin only the launcher - Java wrapper - unfortunatelly without the parameters you need. You have to alter the shortcut manually. Go to the c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar, find your pinned application shortcut and alter the command line in shortcut properties. Suppose that pinning the java process gave you Java icon on the taskbar. You can change it here as well.
