MOO2 cannot run DPLAY.dll is missing. windows 7 64bit??? Help!!

    MOO2 cannot run DPLAY.dll is missing. windows 7 64bit??? Help!!


    I have the CD-Rom and keep getting this message what do I do?

    I'd google "moo2 DPLAY.dll" and see what solutions are listed on the Atari forums.

    I think it's been re-named dplayx.dll since Vista.
    You can find it here: C:\Windows\SysWOW64

    I also found the reference below for the same problem. It suggests copying the file and naming the copy dplay.dll

    The first link when googling goes to the Atari forums, and the thread explains how to get this older game working with Windows 7 - both 32 and 64 bit versions. There's more to it than just copying/renaming a file - it appears explorer must be terminated, and the complete instructions are provided.

    checked atari forums and for some reason it wont show any search results. I cannot find the dplayx.dll in system 32 or syswow64. bummer

    yeah the origional thread on the atari forum is talking about vista i have windows seven. I tried the notepad option but that did not work either. opening the note pad file launches dos but the same error comes up. Stinks!

    Have you considered using VMware Player?
    I think that it is still free (you may have to sign up though).

    And copying dplay.dll to the orion folder, per post #7, also didn't help?
