HDMI cable allows only video transfer or audio and video?

Windows 7 Pro

If your gfx card allows it the hdmi cable will carry the audio too. HDMI cables are design for both video and audio signals.

As previous post, HDMI can carry both audio and video - suggest you try it out and if sound is missing it will not be due to the cable.

If it isn't working, you may have to go into your sound control panel and change your audio output device to the video card.
