Cannot install OS to a partition

I already have Windows 7 installed on my Sony Viao laptop but the wireless adapter driver was not working. Therefore, i decided to install a new Windows from MY COMPUTER. Installation was a success but things started to go wrong. I booted the Installation DVD and try to install it but I could not. Something is blocking the installation. Please help.

Welcome to the Seven Forums, Geeko.

If the Wireless Adapter is defective then it won't work on the OS in the other partition. It might perhaps be a better and easier course to get the wireless adapter working than installing a second OS on another partition.

If it was a driver problem then it could have been resolved quite easily. Now are you unable to boot the computer altogether or at least you are able to boot in the first OS.

Yea, but i downloaded the latest driver for my wireless adapter but it does not work. Every network i connect to showed limited access. I thought installing a NEW OS would work. I can boot but now I cannot install windows to any of Drive showed above. Any my BOOT MGR is missing and no operating system currently on my laptop.

Do you mean the Router or the Wireless Network connection when you say Wireless Adapter? What are the details of the Wireless Network Connection that you are using? Has your Computer an Ethernet connection and is that working?

It may not be Driver problem at all but incorrect settings of the Router or the Wireless Network Connection. Was it working properly earlier?

In the meantime please do not panic. If nothing else would work we can clean install Windows again and be back in business. Also please fill your System Specs fully. It shall make it easier for members to assist you.

Follow these steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Make sure to make the Factory Recovery disks first, then if necessary wipe the HD first using Diskpart Clean Command after booting the DVD accessing DISKPART At PC Startup.
