Windows 7 won't accept password with special characters

Hello there-- what a way to start the day --and thank you in advance.

Like the title says: Windows 7, won't accept a password I set to it for my HP 620, though with a special character; which goes for Kars1990 --that's the password. Password that used to work flawlessly in weeks I have had it in use though until today after coming back from my morning routine, to boot the system, to find out every time I try to write "" to complete the password properly, it instead adds another black dot to the input field in which case the form ends like: Kar'as1990 instead.

The keyboard isn't Spanish though configured, to international English, so to give me the special character without a problem. To throw as well, I had some virus attack yesterday; but swept them immediately. Nevertheless, I don't know if that have something to do with the keyboard no properly writing the a with the accent I'm seeking it to input. And for my surprise, not to my enjoyment; hence today is college's second quarter starts, yet here am I, with important files to deliver in there. Such a beautiful day.

Any idea how do I resolve this? UuU.

Window 7 Ultimate x32

Do I summarize that by needing a Windows 7 disc to do the process? Since I have none. In which case I'm in disposition of an USB drive and a mini Laptop; thinking if there could be a way for me to reset the password somehow through some software or tool. Other than having to use any Windows based dics or disc in general.
