    boot\bcd is corrupt or unreadable


    hello first time poster. last night my computer was working fine, this evening i turned on my computer and i got a error! the error was....
    File: \boot\bcd

    status: 0xc0000001

    info: an error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.

    my set up is a ssd with win 7 pro 64, as C:\. and my d drive is a 500gb and i have a cd-rom that's F.

    ok so i booted with the win cd as per the instructions, shown with the boot manager error, and choose repair computer. once i clicked repair comp, i got theis new error message saying..

    recenv.exe - corrupt file

    the file or dic c:\boot\bcd is corrupt and unreadable, please run chkdsk.

    went to the cmdprompt typr c:\dir says theres a temp folder taht 75 mb's throught further searcjhing my c:\ drive is now my e:\ drive. so i ran chkdsk got no errors,

    sooooo my boot bcd is corrupt my drive letter is changed... im at my wits end can someone please help me

    Work through these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot

    Make sure Win7 HD is set first HD to boot in BIOS setup. I'd unplug all other drives and peripherals during repairs.
