I recently got a new laptop for my birthday and there are two things that just don't seem right to me.
The first thing is that when I go to my control panel and then to programs and features, I see that there are programs installed in 2011 when i didn't get my laptop untill March 2012.
The second thing that iv'e noticed is that when trying to upload pictures from a memory card i see images that were alreadt deleted prior to trying to upload new pictures.
Any help I could get in answering these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and the computer I got was a Samsung with windows 7 home premium edition running on it.

It is quite normal to find programs that were installed some time before the date of purchase of a new machine, it just menas that may be the latest level at the time your laptop was built. When you go to run these programs if there is a later level you are usually prompted to update it. As far as the photos is concerned, do you mean you deleted old ones and they are still showing in a hard drive folder that you previously created ?

BTW - you will find with a new laptop a lot of software installed that you are very unlikely to want or use which has become known as "bloatware". It is recommended that you uninstall most of this to allow your system to run at its best.

Hi Jainlokerain and welcome to SevenForums. A tip just in case you have not already done so - Most systems today are shipped without a Windows DVD to enable you to restore your system in case of a major failure of the hard drive. However, there are programs on board to CREATE a set of RECOVERS DVD,s. This, in my opinion, is the very first thing the owner of a new laptop should do. Create the recovery DVD,s, label them and put them in a safe place.
    Cheers
