I can't see folder's name when desktop composition is enabled

    Hi!

well, after that problem all the pictures were gone i posted it here and couple of forum and nobody was able to know the cause, my computer was apparently clean... but my pictures are gone, i can recover it with any recovery software because thy are kind of marked as deleted or hidden" in such a way that can not be just simply be undone, i must recover one by one...
in order to keep the hdd untouched, i had to buy another one (i dont want to open a post just for asking the temperature but is 41-48celcius normal? i know its normal but the hdd sometimes reach the 48 49 and stay there for long minutes then cold down again, the old hdd had a narrow range 40-43)

    now continuing with the header..
since i have a new hdd i had to install win7 and i decide to give it a try to the aero and desktop composition stuffs BUT immediately i remembered that I used to not use by just one thing.

i use the computer with several windows opened, when i have to switch to another window i put the cursor in the taskbar and i get the list of the opened windows, but when the aero o desktop compositor are enabled i only see the thumbnails, pretty nice BUT just that, cute but awful since does not have folder names (not untill 2 seconds witht the cursor over one thumbnail)

check what i talk about it:

what do i have to do to keep the names?

    try this,
type services in the start search box,
open the services link that appears in the search results, its the one with the cog.
when services window opens scroll down to " desktop window manager session manager"
click it to highlight it, then click stop the service on the left hand side , then click start the service.
see if that helps, if not
    try running sfc/scannow

yeah that work, but that send me back to the windows 7 basic theme (the light blue one)

or... if yu know how to change the color to the basic one..., the only way to have personalized colors for windows is with desktp compositor enabled aka "desktop window manager session manager", but then i can't see folder's name

i was suggesting you stopped then re started the service to see if it would work,

for some reason the window titles wont show for you with aero desktop manager enabled, i havent come across this before ,so hopefully someone else may have an idea.

did you try the sfc/scannow i suggested in my previous post.

you see the "computer" name over the fourth thumbnail? yeah, great, but takes over 2 seconds to display it?

again; without the desktop compositor on, it doesnt show thumbnails but at least a list with names and it is instant, just place your name over and you get an instant list of the folder's name you just click directly over the one you need, but with desktop composition on (that enable you to change windows color) you don't have names...

do you guys want a video of what i say, comparing with and without desktop composition because apparently nobody sees the problem of what i am talking about or i am the only one who uses the computer with about 20 folders opened, 10 notepads and a dozen of other windows opened?
