Can't boot normally after gparted realignment

I used gparted to realign my new solid state drive (C). When booting into Windows, it no longer opens, giving the error "0xC0000225" and "the boot selection failed because a required is inaccessible". There is no mention of a missing file.

To get Windows 7 to boot, I need to go into the boot menu, and select the second hard drive (E), or CD/DVD, after which it will boot into Windows. The C Drive realignment appears to have been successful apart from this issue.

I've tried startup repair, but it cannot find a Windows installation on the C Drive. I also tried a few things I found on the net, like bootsect and bootrec when in startup repair.

Have any of you kind people got any ideas? I'm a bit new at this, and was following what I thought were fairly simple instructions!

    Thanks,

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

How many times did you run Startup Repair? It may need three attempts with a reboot between each one.

Have a look at this excellent tutorial on comprehensive steps to taske when your computer won't startup.

I tried it three times on a couple of occasions - it always says something like "No issues found".

Thanks for the link, I'll give it a try.

    OK, best of luck.

You may also want to have a look at this tutorial, which explains how to align your SSD using Diskpart, which comes with Windows.

    please post your BCD (bootmenu).

Boot in recovery environment -> command prompt

    bcdedit /enum all >bcd.txt

Now copy bcd.txt to some usb-stick command is like:
    copy bcd.txt f:\
if F is usb stick drive letter. post bcd.txt

Please port full screen screenshot of "disk management" with all fields visible
The screenshot of Disk Management (right click "My Computer" and choose "Manage" -> "Storage" -> "Disk Management").

    Hi,

I actually seem to have solved the problem. I downloaded Easy BCD, went into "Edit Boot Menu", deleted the record, and then went into "Add New Entry", added a default record for Windows 7, and it worked!

Thanks for being so responsive to my question guys!

glad you solved it. But can you still send a screenshot of diskmanagement. I think it's still booting from E!! At least the bootmgr is there I think.

Also post output of (run in elevated command prompt):
    bcdedit/enum all

I think more entries need to be fixed! Example F8 WINRE

Attached is a screenshot of Disk Management.

I tried twice copying over the bcd.txt file in Recovery Mode, and it confirmed that a file was copied, but it doesn't seem to show up anywhere.
