iastor.sys is the intel sata driver. Install iastorv.sys instead.

    Steps:
    goto device manager.
    open IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
rightclick on Intel .... SATA AHCI controller ->upgrade driver
    "on my computer"
    "choose from list"
    show compatible only
click "standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA controler"
    click next
    etc

Perhaps removing the Optical Drive altogether in the boot order in the BIOS and putting the system volume drive or system reserved drive (as the case may be) as the first one to boot from might help. That because perhaps there is no Optical Drive but there may be an entry in the BIOS for you used one to install the OS.

Hi Guys. I just built a new pc a few days ago. I am running windows 7 ultimate activated and all. It runs perfect. I used my brothers optical drive to install windows 7. When I unplug the optical drive windows wont boot at all. It shows teh logo for about half a second and then restarts over and over. I manually turn of the pc and plug the optical drive back in.....and it boots fine with no problems. Im not sure what could be the problem and any help would be appreciated.

    Im running the following:

    3570k
    tx750 corsair psu
    16 gb corsair vengeance ram
    H100
    crucial m4 256 ssd
wd 1 TB caviar black hdd

How did you detach the optical drive? Did you just disconnect the power cable or data cable as well?
Did you disconnect cables from optical or from motherboard or from both sides?
